Principal's Message

Greetings Mt Baldy community,

Our school year is proceeding at a fast pace, as usual, and it seems that the year will be over before we know it.  We recently finished our state-funded modernization and are finalizing by having some murals done, both inside and outside the school.  Feel free to come by for a tour.

I would like to tell you about one of our employees.  This summer, we were fortunate to hire Ryan Woolford.  He is working as an instructional aide and intervention teacher.  Ryan has bachelors and masters degrees in geology, and he is interested in eventually becoming a high school social studies teacher.  One of the more interesting things about Ryan is that he rides his bike to school each day.  Well, you might be thinking, big deal, it’s downhill to school.  However, Ryan lives in Upland and he rides UP to school on a daily basis.  Each morning, we all pass him as he slowly and methodically grinds his way to school.  We’re proud of his efforts with our students and his abilities as a bicyclist!

From June 2-8, Ryan will be participating in a 7-day, 545-mile ride, from Los Angeles to San Francisco. He is doing this to raise funds and awareness in the fight against HIV/AIDS.  Please consider supporting Ryan in his quest. You can find more information about it at:  www.toFightHIV.org/goto/RyanWoolford
