Dear Mt Baldy Community,

In preparing for our Centennial Celebration on April 30th, and in the spirit of honoring the past, Mt Baldy School is gathering information from community members with stories they would like to tell about our school.

Although we plan to have a “Baldy Chats” booth at our celebration, where alumni and others can share (and record) their stories to archive for future generations, we recognize not everyone will be able to make it to the party. With that in mind, we want to give you a chance to tell your story and send it to us for the creation of a “Baldy Chats” archive that can be shared with our community after the festivities are over – in the summer or fall.

So, if you are hankering to send us a story, please do. We have a few questions that you can choose from if a story doesn’t spring to mind immediately. The only catch is - there’s a three-minute limit. If you think you’re up to the challenge, please, please, send away. Using a smartphone’s audio taping function, (or some other device that can digitally save the information) simply tell your story, and send to us at: 100years@mtbaldy.k12.ca.us

If you are more comfortable with pen and paper, feel free to do that. In fact, paper versions may just be on display at the Centennial Celebration on April 30th, along with other artifacts. Just drop off your stories at the school office - we’ll have a box to drop them in. Include your name, contact info, and any other information you would like us to know along with the story.
