ALYSSA POTTS
TK, KINDERGARTEN and 1st GRADE
Alyssa Potts is a dedicated educator with a passion for fostering meaningful learning experiences. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Human Development (School Age Track) from Cal State San Bernardino and a Master's degree with Credentials in Education, specializing in Social Emotional Learning. While completing her studies, she worked full-time and began her teaching career at the Upland Unified School District.
Ms. Potts time as a long-term substitute teacher allowed her to build strong relationships with students and staff across multiple schools and grade levels, preparing her for her role as a full-time educator.
In 2023, she joined the staff at Mt. Baldy School, where she teaches a TK, Kindergarten, and 1st-grade combination class. She regularly incorporates outdoor learning into the curriculum, providing hands-on experiences that enhance student engagement and development.
Ms. Potts was born and raised in Upland, CA, and has called it home for most of her life. She has a five-year-old son, Lykos, and they love spending time outside and discovering new places together. She’s excited to be part of the Mt. Baldy community and looks forward to teaching students and working with their families!
