Ashley Haines
Creek Coordinator and Substitute Teacher

Ashley Haines is the Creek Coordinator and Resident Substitute Teacher at Mt. Baldy School, where she brings her passion for outdoor learning and environmental education to students of all ages. In her role, Ms. Haines coordinates the annual Creek Week, an immersive program where students engage in hands-on activities such as monitoring pH levels in the Mt. Baldy Creek, checking water temperatures, and investigating the creek’s macroinvertebrate population. She also supports the school as a substitute teacher and adjunct faculty during CR Intersessions.

When she is not volunteering at Mt. Baldy School, Ms. Haines is a professor at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, where she teaches history. Her dedication to both environmental science and education allows her to inspire students to explore, ask questions, and develop a deeper appreciation for the natural world.

Her commitment to connecting students with hands-on, experiential learning makes her an invaluable part of the Mt. Baldy School community.
