Physical Education
Felipe Yanez has been the Physical Education Instructor at Mt. Baldy School since 2019, working with students in grades K–8 to promote healthy, active lifestyles. He is passionate about helping students build confidence, develop teamwork skills, and discover the value of physical fitness in their everyday lives.
Mr. Yanez is especially inspired by Mt. Baldy School’s unique natural environment. Surrounded by scenic beauty, he incorporates the school’s peaceful and visually stunning location into his approach to physical education whenever possible. As a strong advocate for both fitness and the outdoors, he encourages students to get outside, stay active, and appreciate the benefits of movement in nature.
In addition to teaching, Felipe often helps relocate wildlife that may wander onto campus, such as snakes or other animals, ensuring the safety of both students and the creatures that visit. Whether leading structured activities, encouraging outdoor exploration, or helping protect the local wildlife, Mr. Yanez strives to create a positive and engaging environment where all students feel motivated to participate, challenge themselves, and have fun while staying active.
