Liz Flores
TEACHER | Instruction Coach

Mrs. Flores' journey at Mt. Baldy School started 35 years ago—as a Kindergartener! Liz has returned to Mt. Baldy School as the Instructional Coach to support teachers and students in creating the best possible learning environment. In her role, she partners with teachers to develop strategies that enhance instruction, analyze student data to guide learning, and foster a positive, engaging classroom experience for all. She is passionate about helping educators grow and ensuring that every student receives the support they need to succeed.

Mrs. Flores holds a Bachelor’s degree and a teaching credential. Before joining the Mt. Baldy team, she spent 15 years as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, new teacher mentor, and curriculum developer in local school districts. She is a strong advocate for outdoor education, incorporating hands-on learning experiences that allow students to engage with the natural world. She believes that taking learning beyond the classroom helps students develop problem-solving skills, creativity, and a deeper connection to their environment. By integrating outdoor education techniques, she encourages curiosity and active learning, making lessons more meaningful and impactful.

Beyond the classroom, Mrs. Flores is a proud mama bear to two Mt. Baldy students—while her youngest eagerly awaits joining his big brothers at school! On weekends, you’ll find her exploring the San Gabriel Mountains with her children and extended family, embracing the beauty and adventure of the place she’s always called home. She’s thrilled to be back at Mt. Baldy School and is excited to help shape the next generation of learners!!
